When I saw this memorial being built, it did no take my breath away. I was actually quite disappointed in it. I thought they could have done so much better. I have quite a different view now. After visiting the sight I think its one of the more successful military memorials. I believe you get a true sense of what the Air Force is about but you have to see it in its entirety. Its not enough to see the three spires from off in the distance. You should go there and read the inscriptions and what they mean. I was really taken back by how much my opinion changed after visiting this site. I hope you get a chance to see it up close and personal for yourself.
